Sanders & Sons Chancellor Office

Located in Chancellor, AL (36316), the Sanders & Sons office has undergone a remarkable transformation. Once a restaurant, then a church, it now serves as a dynamic space for real estate, interior design, and contracting. With a rich history embedded in its walls, this space provided the perfect foundation for a design that balances clean lines, sophistication, and a sense of comforting productivity.

When designing an office, most people focus primarily on the workspaces. However, many overlook the importance of creative outlets. Our vision for this space was to establish distinct zones—each with a clearly defined purpose—offering dedicated areas for design projects, client meetings, and collaborative work. This “zoning” approach eliminates rigid formality, encouraging movement, flexibility, and a sense of freedom within the space. Employees and clients alike can transition effortlessly between seating areas, swap meeting spots, or move around without feeling confined.

A standout feature of the office is the Mario Bellini Bubble Couch, which serves as a focal point of softness and embrace. In contrast to traditional office environments, which often feel rigid and angular, we prioritized organic forms—incorporating curves and geometric balance to enhance comfort and fluidity.

To maintain privacy while preserving an open-concept feel, glass partition walls separate the main workspace from the public seating area. This allows employees to focus while still fostering an inviting atmosphere for collaboration.

We are thrilled to see this project come to life and cannot wait to share the final result of this completely reimagined space.
